As the 2012-2013 school year begins, there are 22 classrooms and a little under 600 students at Westside. Our faculty roster remains very strong and consistent. We at Westside have a dedicated staff in ensuring your child is prepared to proceed with College, Career, and Readiness.
Westside is also proud to be a PBIS school. PBIS stands for Positive Behavior Interventions Support which means all staff recognizes positive student behavior. Research has found the more often positive behavior is acknowledged and rewarded the greater chance it will continue and influence the actions of others. Our three rules in which we believe at Westside is to Be Safe, Be Respectful, and Be Responsible. The Westside Staff is committed to ensuring our students are successful in meeting all of their academic, physical, emotional, and social needs.
At Westside, we strongly believe children are most successful when parents are involved in the education of their child. As a team, the combined efforts of home and school, are an essential piece that plays a role where your child will thirst for knowledge, skills and learning.
